    On Wednesday, February 16th, learn from the Illinois Green Business Association on how to save money through one of two presentations at 88 Broadway in Lincoln Square.

    An Evening of EleganceThis event will benefit the Center for Women in Transition. Bid in a silent auction on jewelry by Christopher’s Fine Jewelry. Hors d’oeurvres and dinner served by Chef Benjamin & Co., wine provided by Corkscrew Wine Emporium and dessert from Sweet Indulgence. It will be an entertaining evening with a 40′s Hollywood Glam theme with entertainment provided by Star Talent Events and Steve Holstein emceeing! Couples, Singles, Pairs & Groups are welcome;

    Individual tickets are $50, pairs are $75 and a table of ten is $350.

    Learn how to use your digital camera 

    News Gazette WorkshopA simple point-and-shoot digital camera can have dozens of settings, from shutter speed to white balance to ISO. You’ll learn what those terms mean and much more at The News-Gazette’s first “Learn How to Use Your Digital Camera” workshop. You will have the opportunity to learn from the News-Gazette’s award-winning photo-journalist, Darrell Hoemann.

    For just $25, anyone with a point-and-shoot digital camera (limited to 25) may participate.  You will have the opportunity to get lessons, ask questions, receive giveaways and eat snacks.

    With artists Frederic Beaugeard & Sergio Juan 

    Amara Yoga & Arts Amara Yoga & Arts will be hosting an opening reception for an art exhibition by two local artists, Frederic Beaugeard and Sergio Juan, in the studio gallery at Lincoln Square.  Both artists will be showing drawings through March 15th.  There will be live music by local singer Cara Maurizi during the open reception.
