Cynthia is excited to be a part of the UBA as Executive Director.  Having been a member of the Urbana community for more than 20 years, she looks forward to having a positive impact on the business community.  Cynthia has very strong ties to Urbana with her husband and children all born, raised, and educated here.  She is eager to be a part of expanding current events/festivals, exploring opportunities for new events, expanding membership and related benefits, and increasing community involvement.  She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Marketing and plans to combine that knowledge with her past experience to bring a new enthusiasm to the UBA.  Cynthia can be contacted at ed@urbanabusiness.com or by calling 217-344-3872.

Cody began as an intern at the Urbana Business Association to work on completing his coursework at the University of Illinois.  After completion of the internship and the gaining of his Bachelors Degree in Recreation, Sport and Tourism Management, Cody continued his work experience at the UBA as the Events Assistant. Cody worked closely with the Director of Marketing and Events, taking on many vital tasks that involved everything from Volunteer Coordinator at the Urbana Sweetcorn Festival, promotion of the many Urbana businesses, and even programming the entire annual Holiday Market!  As time, skills and technology change, Cody continues to add a different perspective to the job and is excited to continue his professional growth with the UBA, now as the Marketing Coordinator.  Cody can be contacted atadmin@urbanabusiness.com or 217-344-3872.
