Our Mission at Work

We are excited that you are considering membership with the Urbana Business Association. The UBA is a membership driven, not-for-profit organization whose mission is to promote Urbana as a dynamic place to live, work, and do business. Currently, over one hundred and fifty businesses take advantage of our member benefits. Your support and involvement is critical to our continued success and we look forward to your input. The UBA keeps its members informed on news, events, and other information through email, membership meetings and our newsletters.

The Urbana Business Association’s website offers a full range of pertinent information to our business members as well as a Membership Directory and links to Member websites. If your business is not currently a member of the Urbana Business Association, please take a few minutes to look through the membership application.

This page is designed to provide you with information on the various levels of financial support, as well as the corresponding benefits. We encourage you to review each level, and determine which is best for your business. Should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact our office. We will gladly talk with you about benefits of Urbana Business Association membership and help identify specific ways in which we can support your business goals. Networking/Marketing Benefits

In addition to the specific benefits listed below, all members have access to networking and learning meetings, support with marketing campaigns, presence on the UBA website, and the ability to actively participate on one of our various event committees. You will also add credibility for your business, and be offered the opportunity to provide discounts or coupons in our online publications like the “Explore Urbana” and “It’s All About U” newsletters.

Business Donors ($100 Level)

  1. Listed in the UBA website directory
  2. Receipt of weekly “Explore Urbana” community newsletter
  3. Ability to promote your events in the “Explore Urbana”
  4. Receipt of monthly “It’s All About U” membership newsletter
  5. Ability to offer business to business discounts or coupons in the “It’s All About U”
  6. Free Ribbon Cutting services for marked events

Business Supporters ($250 Level)
All of the previous benefits listed plus -

  1. Listed in the UBA website directory with active link to your website
  2. Social Media promotion of your business by the UBA on Facebook and Twitter
  3. 1/2 off booth fees at the Sweetcorn Festival and Holiday Market

Business Sustainers ($500 Level)
All of the previous benefits listed plus -

  1. Priority offerings of sponsorship and partnering opportunities
  2. Recognition as a Business Sustainer at all membership meetings/networking events

Business Leaders ($1,000 & Up Level)
All of the previous benefits listed plus -

  1. Your logo prominently displayed on our website under “Business Leaders” heading
  2. Recognition as a Business Leader in each “It’s All About U!” members-only newsletter
  3. Recognition as a Business Leader at all membership meetings/networking events
