  • Celebrations are an important aspect of your business and can also be a great marketing tool. The Urbana Business Association offers you special ways to make your celebration a memorable one.
  • Our free Ribbon Cutting Service is perfect for new businesses to the area or businesses that are opening a new building or celebrating a remodel.

How to get started:

  • Select a handful of dates that work for you and call the Urbana Business Association several weeks in advance to assure date availability
  • Invite your family, friends, clients, employees, and customers to join in the celebration.
  • Enhance your event with refreshments and promotions
  • You can make this event as large and exciting or small and private as you would like.

What we do for you:

  • The Mayor of Urbana, City of Urbana staff, UBA Board, and UBA Members will be invited.
  • Promotion through the UBA’s weekly newsletter and media releases will be provided.
  • The UBA will provide the ribbon and scissors on the day of the event.
  • The ribbon will be signed by all persons in attendance and given to you as your ribbon cutting memorabilia.
